A must win situation is upcoming for the Temple Tigers football team to keep playoff hopes alive this year.
Next Friday, (No. 293) Temple will face (No. 321) Darlington. Temple will be playing with a chip on their shoulder after facing a crushing defeat versus Haralson County 26 - 6. Both teams will be looking for their first conference win in the A D1 Reigon 6 conference. Despite outranking Darlington, Temple will have to face Darlington at their home stadium.
Comparatively, Temple has performed as the stronger team, but a tough schedule has left them on a 4 game losing streak. Also, Temple has not preformed well at Away games, sitting at 0-2. However, Temple may find some ways to win through Darlington's weak Offense, which has only scored 164 points throughout the year compared to Temple's 220. Darlington also has a much weaker Defense comparatively, allowing nearly 300 points so far this year.
Overall, Temple will be coming in to Darlington as the favorites, but a tight game cannot be ruled out, and a loss at this point would change the game for Temple and end playoff hopes.
